Internet Crime--Reporting

Citizens can ALSO report Internet crimes to: www.IC3.gov

Often times the Citizens of Joplin are victimized by individuals over the internet either through e-bay/pay-pal scams or e-mail scams. Unfortunately these suspects often live/operate outside the city limits of Joplin Missouri. The Joplin Police Department relies on assistance from other police entities to pursue these suspects. When a citizen fills out an internet complaint form at: www.IC3.gov the National White Collar Crime Center reviews those complaints and forwards a copy of the complaint to the law enforcement entity with the jurisdictional authority to assist with the criminal prosecution.

If a citizen believed he or she has observed on the internet an instance of Child Pornography or Child Exploitation, along with making a report to the Joplin Police Department, we would suggest the citizen ALSO make a report to: www.cybertipline.com
